Today I started to learn about the IBM Cloud Garage Method.
I was quickly able to find out that garage method is an approach, a way of work that brings together techniques from
- Agile Development
- Lean Development
- Extreme Programming (XP)
- and IBM Design Thinking.
The goal of the Garage is to build innovative solutions by continuously design, deliver and validate new functions.
The Garage method proposes 6 (six) phases:
- Think. This phase, ensures that the target audience (usually the end user, or the customer) are at the center of all activities. The think phase of the garage method is bound to all of the other phases, and it never ends.
- Code. The goal of the code phase is to develop new capabilities into small batches.
- Deliver. The work build into the previous phase will be delivered in production during the deliver phase.
- Run. The goal of the run phase is to clearly understand how and where to run the application.
